This set is to provide students with additional practice determining unknown addends in problems with 2 and 3 addends.
There are 3 different Work Mats students use to work out problems with missing addends. They are for: problems with 2 addends, problems with 3 addends and vertical problems with 2 addends.
There are 108 pages of Missing Addend problems. For my class, I print out one copy and divide the problems among my groups since there are so many problems. There are 6-8 problems per page. (about 620 problems). The problems have sums from 5 to 20 and cover 2 addend problems and 3 addend problems, as well as, 2 addend vertical problems.
There are also 3 worksheets for students to do.
Thanks!
These Centers go along with Common Core Standards (for subtraction) 1.OA3 and 1.OA6.
These are the Centers:
• Subtraction Problem Match-Up
• Subtraction Game
• Find the Subtraction Facts for the Fact Family
• Subtract and Write
There is a Center card for each Center. There are also 66 subtraction problem cards and 66 answer cards that are used for the Centers. There is a game board in color and one in black and white for one of the Centers. I have laminated the pieces for my class and the students use vis-à-vis markers, which wipe off when they are done.
Thanks!
These cards help students practice counting by 10s, 5s and 2s to 120 (as in the Common Core Standard for 1st grade). There are 6 sets of cards with different clipart to help keep the cards sorted. 2 sets are for students to count by 10s to 120, 2 sets to count by 5s to 120 and 2 sets to count by 2s to 120- one set starts at 1 and one set starts at 2.
I put magnets on the backs of my cards and the students take turns getting them in order on the board.
Thanks!
This is an addition game to practice 2-digit addition. The addition game is called “Race to the Penguin” and includes the game board, Center card and 47 Penguin cards with 2-digit addition problems. The cards include 2-digit problems with and without regrouping (just choose which cards to use with the game). The sums are from 31 to 40.
For Race to the Penguin, you will need to tape the game boards together. Both sides of the game board should have the same numbers. There is an A and a B side for each set. I suggest you laminate these and have the children use vis-à-vis markers (or another erasable marker).
Thanks!
This is a Math Center with a football theme to help children practice different ways to make a number. They choose a number on one of the footballs and find the two other footballs that show that number in a different way. For example, 123, 1 hundred 2 tens 3 ones, and 100 + 20 + 3.
There are 54 cards- 18 numbers and 2 more matching cards for each number. There is one card for each hundred up to 1,000 and a card for each thousand up to 9,000.
There is a Center card you can print out with the directions for the Center.
This Center will help the students practice the Common Core Standards 2.NBT.A.1&3- Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones. And, Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.

These are cards to use in a Math Center or in a small group. There are 2 Header cards “True” and “False”. There are 8 pages with 6 cards on each page. These cards all involve addition, subtraction or an equation such as 0=0. Each card has a number sentence on it. Half of them are True and half are False. The students sort the cards by whether the number sentences are True or False. There are different types of number sentences. (2=2, 1+1=2, 2 + 0 = 1 + 1, 4-2=1+1). These area little more challenging that my August Back to School Set. With this set I have added subtraction and the sums/numbers go up to 12. I made sets for most of the months of the school year that get progressively more difficult. Thanks!
Contents:
1 Center Card
14 pages (6 cards per page) of number equations (addition & subtraction)
This Center helps master the Common Core Standard 1.OA7- Determine if equations involving addition and subtraction are true or false.
This is similar to my Back-to-School themed set and September set of True or False equations, however, the equations get more difficult with each month's theme.
