Here is a bundle with the 4 resources I have made for my students for the topic of El Laberinto. They are the resources I have added to TES over the last couple of months. You save 52% by getting them using this bundle.
Here are the higher level mats I have made for my students.
I created a new “more” Spanish mnemonic for them since I really liked the one our French department uses for higher level French language (croissant). I also wanted to encourage them to use other aspects of the language like Direct and Indirect Object pronouns or “verbos de cambio”.
We do La casa and El Laberinto and these 2 mats compliment the other ones they have (you can find them in my shop here).
I have also included the Chipirones Ladders game I made recently. Whilst students practice with a card or general conversation questions, they have to use the game board and move up the ladders. In each step they have to use certain grammar. There are 2 games, one to just practise chipirones and the other one includes opinion phrases. Students will need a counter and they move their counter one box at a time. The aim is to get to the top of the ladder.
Please, note that the stars are only in the first page! The second page has the same but without the stars. :)
Hope your students find them useful!

This is a practice booklet with lots of exercises for alevel students.
In includes a list of verbs that are conjugated like gustar and the exercises vary from correct the errors, gapfills and translations.
Some exercises include sentences about El laberinto del Fauno so if that is the film you are doing, your students will be able to manipulate these verbs and hopefully they will be encouraged to use them more in their essays.
I have also included the answers in the same document.
This mat is for those studying La Casa de BA. in the new Spanish Alevel.
It includes quotes, connectives, opinion phrases, intensifiers, idioms, subjunctive phrases and if clauses. Also, verbs that are followed by a preposition. I have tried to select verbs and idioms that apply to the play so that students can improve their essays.
It would be useful for the old curriculum A2 students too.
At the back, there are verb tables with all the regular conjugations to help students conjugate the verbs.
Two posters, one for ser and another one for estar.
We have them near the board in class and students find it helpful when completing translations in A2. They can all have a quick look when encountering the verb “to be”.
Alevel game boards for the present and the preterite tenses. It includes all categories of irregulars.
When students fall in a square with 2 or 3 verbs, they conjugate the verbs given (Yo canto, tú cantas...). If they fall in an orange square, that is a speaking questions and they speak for a minute.
For the rest of La Oca rules, you will find a slide with the explanations.
This resource includes:
-a match up activity in which students have to match up key infinitives that can be used as a starter.
-a card sort game (differentiated for Low and High Ability students)
-a carrousel reading activity with 4 different texts. You can group students and each group can read a different text.
-a glossary worksheet to complete by students and another one that comes already completed.
-a plenary activity using Twitter.
These resources can take 2 or 3 lessons to complete.
Includes my latest updated version of the mat.
Includes a practice assessment for students to practise at home or a lesson before the actual assessment.
2 versions of the assessment provided. You can either save one version for resits or if you have lots of students and not enough room to separate them, then you can give out both and alternate them.
Pack of resources for the future tense. It includes the revision mat that has the Simple Future on one side and the “IR A” future on the other side. It also includes an Irregular verbs display with the 12 irregulars (tener, saber, poner, poder…). My students find these type of mats very helpfull since they summarise everything they need to know for their tests.
Finally, I have also included a revision poster of the 12 irregular verbs. Ideal for the new GCSE curriculum but also for the Alevel curriculum.
All the documents are in pdf and word but you will need to install the fonts I have used for the word versions.
I have added a modified version I made for a Year 7 class.
This resource includes 4 translation challenges. One includes 2 connectives challenges and the other one includes 2 tenses challenges.
Answers are provided.
This is a booklet for Alevel for the topic of La casa de Bernarda Alba.
It is designed to help students learn the key vocab in preparation for the writing paper.
There are some notes on “figuras retóricas” used by Lorca (metáforas, etc.)
This is a VOCABULARY booklet with HIGH FREQUENCY vocabulary that I have noticided is used in the Listening and Reading exam (AQA).
What I have done is to go through past papers and annotate the words and categories of words that tend to repeat. For example, connectives, nationalities, crime, poverty, infinitives, numerals, jobs, etc. I have then added extra words so that there is a full list. For example, in the section of “jobs” I have added words like científico, periodista, astronauta, hombre de negocios which have appeared in previous papers but you will find a total of 2 slides full of vocab for jobs.
This booklet is a revision tool for students. Teachers can use it to set regular vocab learning and test students as well (it has a scores section at the back).
This booklet prints really well in A5.
This resource is a gameboard for the end of the year for AS students or for the beginning of the year for A2 students. The aim is to revise grammar and practise a bit the speaking.
Students work in pairs or in groups and roll the dice to get to the FIN square.
If the get a 6 when rolling the dice, they stay where they are and have to say 6 connectives.
One person in the group writes the connectives that are being said down so that they avoid repeating them. This will force them to think about more connectives.
This revision mat includes the present perfect, pluperfect, conditional and future perfect tenses plus the present and pluperfect subjunctive tenses. It also includes the participles. Ideal for Alevel students of Spanish.
Second mat is ideal for GCSE and it has some verb flowers for the present and pluperfect.
Finally, you can find as well my perfect tenses display which includes them all with the topic of the Angry Verbs. Have a look at my other resource “Angry verbs display” in which you will find the main GCSE tenses.
Find attached the pdf and word files for the 6 AS units that I have made for my students.
I start with the Unit of Cyber since we have many students doing both French and Spanish and this way they do not all start with the topic of family at the same time.
I have also uploaded the assessments I have made for every page of vocabulary.
I give my students an exercise booklet for every unit and I place these lists at the beginning of each unit. They have to fill them in and they use them to revise.
All these lists are on Memrise for my students.
The 5 topics included are:
Immigration
Racism
Living together
The young
Monarchies and dictatorships
These are the vocab lists my students use to learn the topic vocab. They also have these lists on Memrise. Please, leave your email when doing a review and I will email you the memrise links :)
This is a mat that contains all key grammar aspects studied in Alevel.
Indicative tenses
Subjunctive tenses
Ser / Estar
Por / Para
Gerunds
Passives
If Clauses
V + prepositions
And lots more!
My students absolutely love it and have it with them all the time. It has become their most valuable reference guide for grammar.
Please, note that the STARS only appear in page 1 and 4. Don’t print those pages. Print pages 2 and 3 and you won’t have the stars.
Also, this is an A3 mat so I would recommend to print with A3 printing settings.
