This scheme of work covers the work of four contemporary theatre practitioners and is an ideal introduction for KS3 students and for those teachers new to Drama. By the end of this scheme of work, students should be able to identify and employ the basic concepts of Kneehigh, Melly Still, Complicite and Forkbeard Fantasy. Through assessment, students will demonstrate and consolidate what they have learned. We know how hectic a drama teacher’s life is, so these one-hour lesson plans are simply laid out and a doddle to follow. There are easy to photocopy handouts, lots of inspiring videos and many web links – so it’s important you can access YouTube to really take advantage of all the valuable resources. Tracey Lockett is a hard-hitting, and, at times, harrowing docudrama, inspired by a true story about a young girl’s experience of being blackmailed, bullied and physically assaulted through social networking sites. The script has been written for a minimum of seven actors. Teachers should be aware the play is, at times, upsetting and disturbing and might not suit every group. Performance License included in the price. Cast: Mixed gender – minimum 7 actors. Style of Play: Brechtian. Length: 25-30 minutes.
