-Students read the BBC article on a proposed wealth tax
-Try to fill in the table with some pros and cons (using their own knowledge)
-Then I put the Financial Times video on (20 mins; free on YouTube) and asked students to update their table accordingly
-Also resulted in a good discussion in my classes after viewing
I found this was a good way to help my students understand a real world issue that isn’t necessarily in the syllabus.
