Settling students: Having clear expectations helps minimize behavioral issues and ensures readiness for learning, especially for students who thrive on routine. Each weekly set includes the following tasks: Viewing/listening task utilizing a variety of videos and songs. Sentencing task involving sentence combination or expansion. Vocabulary word of the week, including definition, sentence usage, and finding synonyms and antonyms. Writing task focusing on reflective, creative, or opinionative writing. Editing task with emphasis on figurative language recognition and author’s purpose. Please note: This set of Class Starters may contain some examples of British English spelling, though I make an effort to avoid words that may cause any issues.
