The 5-6 week Problem Solving Module can be added to any Life Skills or PSHE programme and is ready to go, with a lesson by lesson format that identifies all of the teaching activities to be undertaken and the resources required. The aims for the Module are as follows: Students will be able to identify a problem within different situations and consider different ways of being able to solve the problem. Students may be able to Coach others into encouraging different ways of solving problems some students may have. Students will be asked to discuss some problems that may arise in the workplace or during a part time job and then come up with possible solution Students will have a knowledge of Benefits and Burdens Analysis The format is the same as all other modules I have added to my dashboard, that allows non-specialists to be able to pick up the work and deliver it without planning. The modules I have added, including this one, are ideal as cover work and for use by cover supervisors.

Supporting colleagues through a ‘Coaching Approach’ is considered an excellent way in which to involve staff in their ‘school journey’ If you are interested in leading out a Coaching Programme for staff at your school, then a good starting point is to complete an online qualification; I completed a 100 hour course in Life Coaching before implementing a Coaching Programme for teachers and support during my role as a Head and HOC. Having introduced a Coaching Programme for teachers and support staff in my schools, I have seen the benefit of such a system at first hand. This resource identifies a method for introducing a Coaching Programme for support staff in your schools; the same resource can be adapted for introducing the same programme for your teachers, but it would require some careful additions regarding a focus on teaching and learning and, or other key foci for your team.

Student attendance continues to come under scrutiny since the Covid Pandemic. The Tracking and Monitoring attendance package contains the appropriate monitoring tools and associated resources/letters/templates to effectively track student attendance in any school. Alongside the resources are appropriate letters that align to different stages of the tracking and an overall monitoring chart to be used by the attendance officer, to track referrals and cases which require additional follow up. In addition I have added monthly Red/Amber/Green Letters which are an additional monthly resource to inform parents of their students attendance and how it aligns to school expectations. I have also added a template that helps staff to identify historical attendance and exemplar narrative to help you use the appropriate language used by monitoring agencies. I have used this bundle of tools to track attendance in all of my roles in the past 6 years and it has proved very effective and easy to use. Data analysis forms an integral role for almost every teacher. In particular, Senior Leaders will use student data of all kinds across the school to inform actions for whole school development planning. This resource consists of an in-depth whole school data collection sheet which identifies succinctly the kind of evidence school leaders should be collating. Alongside this is a very helpful template that outlines how your data could be presented; this can be used by HOY who needs to present an end of term/year analysis, an Assistant Head accountable for attendance and behaviour across the school or indeed a Head of Centre or Headteacher who needs to present a well structured analysis of whole school data for governors, for example.

Part 1 of 3 Behaviour Support Packs that have been proven to support improvements in Behaviour. A five week module of work that can be used as part of a Life Skills Programme or for intensive 1-1 targeted work. The module uses real life examples as identified by the student through reflection, to help modify and improve their future responses and relationships with staff. The programme aims to support improvements in student behaviour by helping them reflect upon their previous actions and behaviours.

I am presently working with a student who regularly struggles to engage, therefore any evidence of his learning is important. I have compiled an evidence folder to help collate his work, but in addition I have designed this log to record any learning he may achieve and if possible to support the recording of his thoughts and opinions regarding his work; the evidence log may indeed be completed by his key worker. A useful resource to record evidence of work especially for those students who are struggling to engage at all.

A fun quiz I have recently written to show that having ADHD/ADD/ASD or similar disabilities need not stop you from being successful in life. The aim is to use this with students who feel that their disability is hindering their life chances.

This resource identifies a number of questions that can be asked of students during a tutorial/review day or simply used to help prompt appropriate and supportive conversation between a tutor and their students. I wrote this resource for my tutors in a PRU who had to lead student reviews at the end of each term and they found it very helpful in prompting appropriate responses from their students.
