The Whole Lot
I've put my best premium resources in one place. You get a mixture of KS3 and KS4 (AQA) resources all in one at 30% off.
Writing to argue
Old IGCSE English specification resources. Someone, somewhere, might find a way to use these...somehow.
KS3: Exploring Poetry (Character and Voice section of old AQA Anthology)
I used these lessons with year 9 classes. They still adhere to the old AQA specification (they talk of bands). But, each lesson is a complete poem and will save you some work.

AQA English Language Paper 1 Revision Pack (version 1)
Does what it says on the tin. A revision pack for the AQA English Language Paper 1 revision pack.
Bundle
AQA English Language Paper 2 UBER-BUNDLE
4 separate resource , all of which cover AQA English Language Paper 2. Also, I've added in a data collation resource that allows you to track the data.
KS3: An Inspector Calls (introduction to the GCSE Literature paper)
A bare bones SoW that focuses on introducing the Literature aspect of study at KS3, but assesses the students on a piece of creative writing. The lessons assume you have a copy of the text for students to follow. Look at this as a starting point.
Designed with a bottom set in mind.
AQA English Language Paper 2 Section A Revision Lesson
A single power point designed to be taught as a walking-talking mock examination. This can extend over several lessons - I predict you'll need at least three to do this justice. The source materials are included.
AQA A-Level English Language and Literature: Othello - Lesson 7-8 (Technical Expression and Testing)
One lesson that focuses on getting the students to use more technical vocabulary. Another lesson that tests their understanding and hits them with an exam question at the end.
All material is based upon the AQA terminology guide (not included in this pack).
AQA English Literature: Introduction to Unseen Poetry lessons
Lessons designed to engage and interest my year 10s as they step into GCSE-land for the first time. They enjoyed the analysis of the song lyrics a lot.
I found that my previous classes found it very hard to engage with the poetry element. These lessons (combined with a couple of others that don't belong to me) worked well.
AQA English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exam - Compass and Torch
I've found another use for all that knowledge we have about the old AQA English Lit anthology (The Sunlight on The Grass anthology). I have started to turn them into English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exams!
This is one of them. There is no mark scheme, but if you use the Paper 1 mark scheme from the AQA website you should be fine.
This one uses sections from Compass and Torch - I've stitched together two sections and omitted the bit about the horses (for those who remember) so that the extract focuses only on the relationship between the boy and the man.
AQA English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exam - The Darkness Out There
I’ve found another use for all that knowledge we have about the old AQA English Lit anthology (The Sunlight on The Grass anthology). I have started to turn them into English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exams!
This is one of them. There is no mark scheme, but if you use the Paper 1 mark scheme from the AQA website you should be fine.
This one uses the start of The Darkness Out There. The focus here is very much on the use of setting.
UPDATE: I’ve included some rudimentary answers. You’ll still need a copy of the mark scheme.

AQA English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exam - Something Old, Something New
I've found another use for all that knowledge we have about the old AQA English Lit anthology (The Sunlight on The Grass anthology). I have started to turn them into English Language Paper 1 Section A Mock Exams!
This is one of them. There is no mark scheme, but if you use the Paper 1 mark scheme from the AQA website you should be fine.

AQA English Literature - Complete approach
All of my AQA English Literature resources at GCSE level in one bundle. Covers the following texts:
DNA
An Inspector Calls
Jekyll and Hyde
A Christmas Carol
Conflict and Power poetry
Unseen poetry
Romeo and Juliet
Macbeth
The bundle also includes a tracking spreadsheet for GCSE Literature.
AQA GCSE English Literature Jekyll & Hyde: Chapter exploration and Extract Analysis
A complete scheme of work covering each of the chapters and all of the associated assessment objectives. Each of the chapter lessons identifies SOME of the archaic vocabulary and provides the definitions - though this tails off towards the end as there is an assumption that the students become more confident in defining these archaic terms. Contextual allusions and Thematic Devices are identified too. There are comprehension questions for each of the chapters and developmental tasks that cover language and structure.
In addition to this, I've started to include English Language style questions (I intend to teach Paper 1 the other side of this unit). I've included the worksheets as part of the pack.
Each of the chapter specific power points takes about two hours to work through so there is scope for a lot more, but it depends on how quickly you read through the text.
Lastly, I include some WORDLES which I use as starting points and are interesting little differentiation tools - one for each chapter covered (except chapter 10 for some reason - it's buried on a hard drive somewhere).
I will add to this as I complete each batch of lessons.
AQA English Language Paper 1 Resources - based upon 100% Perfect Girl
A few things first: the mock exam can be found elsewhere on in my resources and I base the lessons off a similar series of lessons focused on Anil. The difference here is that these lessons are very much targeting higher ability students - all of the success criteria draws from the top end of the mark criteria.
I found this series of lessons to be really useful as a way of establishing the skills required to answer each of the Section A questions. The lessons focus less on exam strategy and more on understanding what is required in relation to each question. The kids found it useful.
AQA Power and Conflict Poetry Revision Cards
A series of revision cards designed for students to use independently to aid with the revision process. I will add to these as I go.
AQA English Language and Literature A-Level: Foregrounding Heaney
A few elements of my class really struggled with this concept. So, I’ve broken it down into a step by step guide. The class will each need a copy of the AQA Poetry Anthology for this. It focuses on Follower first and then sets them up for an academic tilt at a comparative response.
I’ve had a good response from the elements of the class that initially struggled too.
