Four games designed to support children in rehearsing their phonics skills prior to the phonic screening test. Children use their phonics skills to translate the alien language. In these games the children take on the role of aliens, they learn how to ask and answer questions like an alien. solve an alien treasure hunt and also create their own alien words. The Word Wizards are a group of wizards who explain word types and their jobs to children. In this presentation you will meet Norbert Noun and his newt named Neil who together explain the difference between a proper and a common noun and the need for a capital letter.
