I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain. Months of the Year in Spanish 2 Booklets - Los Meses del Año - Students first read and cut out the booklet that contains text and images. They then sketch and create their own version using the text only template. Each booklet contains 12 pages, one for each month of the year. Each page contains a month with a clip art image to represent the month. Examples of images are a flowers for May, sunshine and the beach for August, Day of the Dead ofrenda for October and Santa for December. Also included are suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. The illustration version can be projected in class to present, review and practice pronunciation of the vocabulary. The text only version can be projected onto the Smart Board and students can draw pictures on the Smart Board that correspond to the text.

Spanish Class Objects Human Bingo Game Speaking Activity - This activity provides practice asking "do you have" with tener concerning different class objects. Each student mingles with a bingo grid and must find different classmates that can reply yes to each of the 16 boxes. Each grid states "Tengo" plus different classroom objects that students frequently have. When a student replies yes to a question, the questioning student follows up by asking in Spanish for the student's signature. The goal is to be the first student to fill the entire bingo grid. Also included is a follow up worksheet that requires students to: 1. Write a sentence for each of the 16 boxes in the grid. The student includes the name of the student that signed the box and must change the verb to the third person. 2. Write an appropriate Spanish school word under 6 images at the bottom of the paper.
