Spain Booklets - Libritos de Espana - Introduce your students to Spanish culture! These booklets contain many things for which Spain is famous such as flamenco, bullfighting, running of the bulls, soccer, olives, castles, cathedrals, Iberian ham and Don Quixote. Students first cut, assemble and read the booklet that contains text and illustrations. They then create their own version using the text only template. Each booklet contains 12 pages: the title page with 11 additional pages. This item also includes suggestions for using the booklets and an assembly instruction page. Spanish 2 Day Class Schedule Sentences - Ser, Tener, and Ordinal Numbers - Students compose sentences for their schedules on 2 different days using ser for one and tener for the other. They will use ordinal numbers for both. Also included is a list of ordinal numbers from first to tenth with a brief explanation of their uses. These are copied 2 per page for student reference handouts.

These are fun activities because many of the English translations of the false cognates are so different than the meanings that students expect. The activities are great for dictionary practice, and work well for substitute teacher lessons. Spanish Adjectives & Ser Sentences - 12 Fill in Blank & Translate to English - Students practice ser conjugations with 12 fill in the blank sentences which they must then also translate to English. The sentences contain descriptive adjectives, most of which are cognates. Two sentences deal with ser for origin. A full conjugation of ser is included and there is a work bank to assist students with their translations. Spanish 50 Classroom Commands and Total Physical Response (TPR) - Get your students moving with this TPR reference that provides 50 affirmative Uds. commands for use in the classroom. Many include one or more nouns that can be used with the verbs to facilitate doing TPR with your students. While most commands are for common actions done in the classroom, this reference also includes a few for the sole purpose of vocabulary building with TPR because they are useful verbs and easy to act out. Opposites Vocabulary 4 x 4 Matching Squares Puzzle - Students assemble a 4 x 4 vocabulary puzzle with 30 adjectives and adverbs opposites words. Sample opposites words are: open/closed, light/dark, hot/cold, difficult/easy, and left/right. There are 15 sets of opposites. Several words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip.
