Spanish Introductions, Greetings and Leave Takings 3 Dialogues / Spanish Skit
Students fill in 24 blanks with words used in Spanish introductions, greetings and leave takings. Examples are: it's a pleasure, nice to meet you, this is my mom, etc. Students choose words from the word bank provided.
After completing the dialogues, students can practice and present them for speaking practice.

Spanish Greetings Word Search Puzzle, Vocabulary, Cards, and Image IDs - These materials contain common greetings and leave takings words and phrases such as hola, buenos días, buenas tardes, buenas noches, cómo estás, as well as courtesies and titles such as gracias, de nada, señor and señora. They're great for beginning Spanish students or for back to school review of the basics.

French Halloween Word Wall - This download includes 11 colorful 8 1/2 x 11 printable signs containing 39 Halloween words or phrases for the French or bilingual classroom. Each word has a corresponding clip art image to assist with meaning and enhance the appearance of the sign. Just print, laminate if desired, and hang where students can easily see the word wall.
The word wall is a great student reference and can also be used to present and review the vocabulary.

Spanish Day of the Dead Board Game and Vocabulary - This is a 32 square board game containing images of 10 different images associated with Day of the Dead. Students shake the die, move that number of spaces, say the word in Spanish, and see who reaches the end first. Students unable to say the word must return to the beginning.
Images included are bread of the dead, candle, cemetery, marigold, offering/altar, pierced paper, skeleton, skeleton figuring, sugar skull, and water. Day of the Dead and family are also included on the vocabulary page for a total of 12 words.

Spanish Street Scene by Fernando Botero 7 Sentences - Combine hispanic culture with Spanish grammar, clothing, and vocabulary for different people words! This activity includes 7 sentences with at least 2 underlined words that must be corrected based on Botero's Street painting. A sample sentence is: Las personas en la pintura corren en la playa. Students make corrections and then provide the English meaning for each sentence. Botero's unique style is sure to make him a favorite with your students!

Spanish Greetings, Leave Takings and Basics Vocabulary Reference - This presentation and student reference includes 40 vocabulary words and phrases to teach or review basic greetings, leave takings, introductions, courtesies, basic questions/responses like how are you/I'm well, thanks, What's you name?, How old are you? etc. Accent marks and the silent h have different color font to highlight these from the very first time that students see them. There's also a brief gender explanation about the difference between masculine and feminine adjective endings. Daily review using this presentation will help students learn a lot in a short period of time. It's also a great review throughout the year.

Students assemble a 4 x 4 Spanish/English vocabulary puzzle with common greetings, leave takings. Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. All words are listed next to the puzzle in Spanish and English.

Spanish Greetings Conversation To Put in Order / Greetings Skit - This is an 18-line, 3-person conversation with greetings, introductions, leave takings, plus additional useful language that must be put in order for it to make sense. Additional phrases include te invito, cuántos años tienes, felicitationes, por favor, gracias, de nada, otra vez, vale, and me encanta. The scenario is a meeting of 3 people outside an ice cream parlor. As such, helado, vainilla, chocolate, and fresa are additional vocabulary words used in the dialogue.
The ordering activity can can be completed by students in 2 ways:
1. Simply write the numbers on each rectangle
2. Students can first cut the rectangles and manually put them in order, either on a hard surface, or the pieces can be glued to paper.
Other uses for the activity:
1. After completing the ordering task, students can practice and present the conversation as a 3-person dialogue.
2. The dialogue can be used as a written translation activity.
