Prince and Princess - Stick Puppet Templates
10 prince/princess templates to make stick puppets. 5 boys and 5 girls.
Students decide what sort of emotion they would like their prince/princess to have and draw the face accordingly (eg happy, excited, sad, surprised, angry …)
If desired, your students can draw a different emotion on two of the templates (same character) and then stick them back-to-back with the craft stick in between. Then they can simply turn the puppet around during their performances to show a different emotion.
Also included is a blank template to make additional characters/props.

I have provided step-by-step instructions that show you how to complete the artwork. Each step is on one page with concise, kid-friendly instructions and an image. Print them out or display via a data projector – a great way for your students to self-check and manage their own learning. (Plus it will save you from having to answer millions of “Is this right?” questions!)
The Practise Part:
At the bottom of 2 of the templates there is a section to practise ruling the lines and getting the hang of the patterns before attempting it on the actual template.
The artwork looks tricky …. but it is actually very simple!

MATARIKI – Flip Flap Booklet
A fun booklet for your students to make when celebrating and learning about the Māori New Year. Various templates to suit your students.
Each booklet is made from one piece of A4 paper.
Write, colour, cut and staple.
Option A - with text:
This template has text with 24 missing words. Each of the missing words shows the first letter. For example: 'Matariki is a c_______ of s______" (cluster/stars). Answers are included. The pages include information about:

♦ WHO - who celebrates Matariki?

The Treaty of Waitangi – Thought Bubbles
Templates for your students to record possible thoughts that these people may have been thinking regarding the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Key Competency – Thinking from another person’s perspective.
Two Formats:

The words are written in Māori language - Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Minibeasts - Code Breaking (Pig Pen Code)
Professor Diggalot has discovered some ancient documents that belonged to the ‘Puggawigga’ people from long ago. He has been unable to decipher the mysterious code that these texts are written in, so he has written to you to ask if you can help him. Are you up for the challenge?
Interesting, fun facts about 22 different minibeasts are written in code and displayed on ancient parchment paper. (Plain black and white copy is also included)

Easter Fun - Secret Code Wheel
A super-fun activity for your students during Easter. Make the secret code wheel and use it to decipher some Easter jokes. Then use the secret code wheel to write your own secret messages.
Included:
♦ Secret code wheel template

How it works:
Turn the inner wheel so that the ‘code ear’ is pointing to the letter of the alphabet that you see in the mystery code writing. Look at the letter of the alphabet that the ‘answer ear’ is pointing to and write it down. Continue in this way until all of the letters in the mystery code have been deciphered.
What you need:
All you need is a split pin (otherwise known as a brad pin), or alternatively just use a push-pin and attach it to a pin board or something soft like an eraser. It works fine with paper if you don’t have a supply of card.

How to play:
