I Spy Initial Sound Worksheets Here we have Initial sounds worksheets from the letter A to Z. Children will look at the pictures and see which starts with that sound. They will then cut, stick and colour the correct items.

Here you have an A4 sized initial sounds worksheet and also cards that could be either used to print out or could be made into cards by cutting them out, laminating them and using a white board pen.

Phase 2 - Sentence Flash Cards In this pack you will have multiple flash cards with pictures linked all to the Phase 2 sounds. Children will look at the pictures and be able to write simple words that they see or even be able to write a short sentence. This can be either completed on white boards or lined/plain paper. This is a great activity for independent writing. You can also print these out twice to play snap or matching games. Please have a look at my other Phase 2 activities. Phase 2 - CVC Word Activities. Children are to look at the pictures. They then read the words and cut/stick them with the matching picture. An extra step would be for children to colour in the pictures after. This is a great activity to see independent reading and understanding. Phase 2 - CVC Word Activites - Writing Children will segment and write out the spelling of each word under the pictures. Another next step to improve pencil control is to colour in the pictures.
