Based on Year 1 Curriculum Prioritisation and NCETM Professional Development material. This is based on Unit 8 - Numbers to 20
In this unit, children will explore:
Ten and a bit structure of numbers 11-19
Placement of numbers 11-19 on a number line
Addition and Subtraction with a ten and a bit context
Odd and Even Numbers past 10
Doubling numbers 6 - 9
Adding ones to a two digit number
Subtracting ones from a two digit number

This unit prepares children for multiplication and division in Year 2.
Based on Year 1 curriculum prioritisation document from NCETM. This is based on Unit 3: Numbers 0-5.
Children will explore numbers to 5 and have a chance to master them and how they can be represented and partitioned. They will also look at finding one more and one less. Children will master the use of the part whole model and look at the bar model.
