Part 2. I recommend dowloading Part 1 before using Part 2 although not essential. A detailed week by week coursework booklet/ guide for teachers and students to follow for the A level Media Studies Component 3 Music Marketing, EDUQAS coursework brief. In this booklet you will find a useful and clear overview of how to approach the Music Marketing brief for 2021 as well as specific tasks to follow to meet the research and planning requirements. I have broken down and provided guidance on the planning and production tasks and statement of aims so students can carry out the tasks in small sections. The production tasks have been designed to meet the sign off sections on the cover sheet. You will also find useful deadlines, links to music videos and notable music video Directors. Last year student who used this booklet acheived 70% higher grades for Component 3.

PART 1 of 2 of the guide for teachers and students to follow, for the A level Media Studies Component 3 Music Marketing, EDUQAS coursework brief. In this booklet you will find a useful introduction of how to approach the Music Marketing brief for 2021. This booklet introduces students to the brief and explains the meaning behind a Music Aficionado. There is also a useful guide to genre and sub genres that students can use to help choose their song. There are lots of links to relevant and helpful articles, documentaries, and information on artists that may fit the brief, genres and subcultures which will useful to help students develop their ideas. Part 2 will be a detailed step by step guide on the research, planning and production tasks and statement of aims. Part 1 introduces the coursework and allows for flipped learning. Students should use this as a starting point to develop their ideas further using PART 2.

The resource takes a look at Hammer Horror and how this company led to the creation of the stylistic and iconic monster characters that are recognised to this day. There is an assumption for this resource that students will be able to recognise and apply the basic technical elements of film poster such as title, fonts, credit block etc. I have provided links to videos and tasks that could last over a number of lessons.

I have not had any feedback on my coursework from 2019 so at the moment this is just a personal approach and has not been endorsed in any way by EDUQAS. However everything in the guide has been included to match the spec and the 2020 brief as close as possible.
