I teach a mixed SLD/PMLD class in secondary school working below the national curriculum. I use a multi-sensory, personalised approach to teaching. My background is also in early years and I think most of my resources are suitable for both as I always plan practical, fun activities.

Hygiene worksheet with visual cues. Complete the sentences by writing in or sticking in the missing words. Focuses on brushing teeth, washing face and hair. Used in special needs school but suitable for EYFS or lower primary. Great PSHE resource.
LO: I can find out how the weather affects what people wear.
First we watched a weather forecast on youtube and talked about the symbols used. We looked at these together. The class then completed the first page worksheet. I asked the children to describe what they would say for each symbol relating it to clothes, ie "It's sunny so wear a hat". They wrote a sentence for each symbol. In small groups I gave them each a strip of the weather symbols (page 2) to colour in. They then presented a weather forecast, sticking their symbols on the map and saying what they had written for their symbol. This worked really well.
Visually stimulating, lots of pictures, simple to read and understand. I made them for my secondary SEN class but perfect for primary age. Great to start lessons and recap at the end or revisit next lesson.
I use these to laminate and make into books for my secondary SEN class. The focus is initial sounds. I make the books using the letters of their names as these are the most important letters for them.

Worksheets to sort, cut and stick pictures (included) and matching worksheet all about the earth, moon and sun. B squared Science Earth and Space P7, P8 and NC level 1 -specific learning objectives on worksheets. Suitable for special needs and EYFS.
The book introduces Callum who has lost some items beginning with C. Through the book, the children need to identify the items beginning with C from a choice of four each time by reading the words and from the visuals -real photos and pictures. I use this in a SEN school because the students take a lot more time learning each letter sound. This book was made for a student whose name begins with C to really focus on the initial sound in his name by seeing it lots, looking at pictures of things beginning with C and of course hearing it lots through the story.
Photographs of different habtats for fish or birds. I used this as a whole class lesson starter. The students held up a picture of a fish or bird to show me what they thought lived in the habitat. Very fun for SEND or EYFS!
LO: Compare pictures of young and adult animals / Attempts to match pictures of young and adult animals
This was made for my SEN class but perfect for foundation.
Cute Dear Santa letter writing work sheet with visual of Santa. I put a photo of the student at the end of the letter too by the line to write their name. My students loved this and their parents did! Very motivational and engaging.
