I have used this Power Point presentation in whole school assemblies to recognize the greatness of Terry Fox and his journey while inspiring students to run to raise funds to continue his fight against cancer.
Here is an outline of the presentation:
Slide 1: Title and video link - Show the video first; the answers to the questions that
follow can be found in the video.

The presentation begins with questions and discussions designed to help students recognize which qualities, behaviours and attitudes cause us to respect or look up to certain people. The lesson then strives to encourage students to exhibit or develop these characteristics in themselves to acquire greater respect from others and to build stronger feelings of self-respect.
This resource includes a fifteen page Lego themed Building Respect Google Slides discussion and lesson, a two page student activity and a teacher's guide.
The goal of this lesson is to help students understand the importance of courage and to make them aware of the many times they have already shown it in their lives. This resource consists of a 20 slide PowerPoint or Google Slides lesson, which seeks to engage and involve the students though questions and powerful images, and a two-sided worksheet which reviews the concepts presented and discussed.
