These Character Emotions Charts can be used when reading to understand how a character is feeling or during writing to add emotions to stories. You may want to put a copy in students’ reading response journals and/or their writing journals.
This freebie includes a color and black & white copy of two different charts. The first chart already provides a list of basic emotions and corresponding clip art. The second chart is for older students as it includes synonyms. Students may add to the lists as they find more synonyms. They may also want to use the blank faces to draw feelings and write additional emotions they find while reading.

Let’s make sight word spelling practice fun! This is a kinesthetic approach that allows students to use their imaginations. This set includes color and low ink versions of 35 different cheers for students to practice spelling sight words. There is also a blank template included for students to come up with additional motions to do!
You can print these cards to be put in a box, cup, or on a ring. You may want to keep them near your Word Wall. Students can use these cards with a partner during centers. You may also choose to use them for whole group practice or during your small group instruction.
Each card gives two sets of motions. The first motions are to be done when spelling the word (e.g. “c – a – n”). Students do the second motions as they state the word they just spelled (e.g. “can”).
