Discover an engaging KS3 lesson that explores the origins of the Silk Road and revolves around an enquiry question ‘what were the Silk Roads?’ The lesson contextualises modern and historical trade routes, key locations and products sold along the silk road. There are video links to support students engagement and allow them to visualise the nature and history of the Silk Roads. There is deliberate practice focused on defining the silk road through a fill-in the -gap activity. The lesson revolves around the key enquiry question ‘What were the silk roads?’ with the lesson concluding with an exit ticket to define the silk road.
