They can colour 10 number words and then you can show numbers and if they have that number coloured in they place a counter on it (like bingo). Or they can juts cut up all of the number and match the words to the numbers to 20. For a group of 5. ESL or SEN. You can create additional slides by juts swapping some of the number words around.

Read the CVC words. Cut out the ‘e’ and sad faces cards and place them face down on the table. Take turns to turn over a card. If you pick an ‘e’ put it next to one of the cvc words, read the new word and score a point. if you pick a sad face, it is the other player’s turn. Read your new list of words using the magic e.

Their, they’re and there cards with sentences on cards. The first set are colour coded so that they can sorted easily under the correct thier/they’re/there. You can the look at how the cards have been arranged and talk about why. they can copy the sentences in their book. When they become familiar with their usage, they can progress to using the black sheet which are not coloured for matching to see if they can complete without the coloured prompts.

Played just like a standard game of Connect 4 but pupils need to solve the times tables and order to colour in the square. If they get four in a row, they claim a point. Winner is the one with the most points. Good for paired work, one-to-one catch up games, tutoring and revision of times tables. Times tables 0-10 included. Just print out the sheets for the required number of players. Have fun!
