No matter what systematic synthetic phonics teaching programme you follow, these resources will support and enhance your teaching and your children's learning. Children have to look at the picture, say what it is, listen to the first 'blend' and spell the word with its correct 'blend grapheme. The rest of the spelling is given, so the focus is just on the initial blend - the focus of Phase 4.
