This is a bundle of 2 x 1 hour lessons which are part of a key stage 3 scheme of learning about the First World War. These lessons consider the methods used by the British government to target different audiences during the war.

These lessons are based on the period between 1985-87 which led to the reducing of tensions between the Super Powers. They consider the changing attitudes of Reagan and Gorbachev; the INF Treaty and Gorbachev’s ‘new Thinking.’ Each lesson contains extensive examination practice and modelled answers.

9 Key Stage 2/3 quizzes and word searches, each with a differentiated copy. Useful for revision; extension activities and class competitions. Students have to use their knowledge to generate 15 words, and then find the words in the grids. Can be used electronically or downloaded and printed.

This bundle contains one key stage 3 lesson which focuses on the long-term causes of the First World War, and one which focuses on the short-term causes (the spark). The lessons take one hour each to teach, and the assessment method is peer assessment and sharing criterion.

Two 20/30 minutes assemblies which discuss the origins of Halloween and the Gunpowder Plot. Both contain short clips telling the stories of the 2 events, and a quiz which gets the students involved in the stories. The assemblies both contain advice about how to stay safe on Halloween and Bonfire Night. They are suitable for KS1 and 2, and also KS3 (years 7 and 8)

This bundle contains four word searches/quizzes for each of the eras studied for GCSE Medicine Through Time. Students have to find the answers to 15 questions and then locate them in a word search. Fun activities for the end of term, or useful as knowledge recall starters/plenaries.

This is a bundle of 3 lessons which investigates whether or not a revolution occurred in Germany under the Nazis in 1933-34. It focuses on the concept of a revolution, and the various actions of Hitler and the Nazis during those years - did they equate to a revolution based on the definition? Each lesson takes an hour to teach, and activities/points for discussion are included in the power points. Assessment: 10 mark question comparing the importance of the Reichstag Fire and the Night of Long Knives 20 mark question assessing whether or not 1933-34 did represent a revolution in Germany.
