I made this for high ability year 9s with the purpose to expose them to a range of difficult texts. The lessons focus on close reading techniques so students show independent understanding of what they have read compared to the gist when usually studying non-fiction. Led to boys being reintegrated into class to start study on Macbeth's witches, hence last few lessons leaning towards comparison of witches in Spirited Away and Macbeth.
