A set of 3 lessons which are an introduction to War Poetry for Year 7. Includes a range of starters and plenaries as well as opportunities to develop thinking around the ideas connected to war. Also introduces techniques for the analysis of unseen poetry through looking at the lyrics of songs. Has been used with the whole range of Year 7 Students including SEN as easily adaptable.

Also contains assessment opportunities linked to 'Life Without Levels' and variety of starters and plenaries. It has been used with all abilities and is easily adaptable for SEN.

The lessons are suitable for Year 9 or can be easily adapted for higher ability Year 8. The SoW also includes suggestions for homework tasks.
