A short work consolidating ideas about current, voltage and resistance in series and parallel circuits.
Students should ideally know the ‘rules’ for current and voltage in series and parallel circuits:
voltage is shared across components in series.
Current is the same at each point in the circuit in series.
Voltage across components in parallel is the same as the supply
The total current in a parallel circuit is the sum of the currents in each ‘loop’.
Consolidation of specific heat capacity and latent heat by looking at turning ice into steam. Can be used as a visual aid or a ‘cut and stick’ activity.
Why the off-centre alignment?? I don’t like folded worksheets in students books so I like to trim a bit of the edges so they can be glued in flat.
