This worksheet is designed to drill the Top 10 most useful verbs for GCSE Spanish. These verbs can be used when writing or speaking about a range of different topics so, if students learn these top 10 verbs, they will be able to get a good grade in their writing and speaking exams. This booklet contains all the key elements for getting a fantastic grade in the GCSE Spanish writing exam. Booklet follows the TORTILLA formula for writing - tenses, opinions, reasons, time phrases, idiomatic expressions, linking words, ‘lo’ phrases, adjectives. This booklet could be used in class alongside teacher-led explanations etc or it could be given to students as homework over a period of time. It could also be used as an extra revision resource for students. There is enough content in this booklet (16 pages) to cover a series of lessons. I used this resource with my own Year 11s recently and it has massively improved their Spanish writing skills! :)

This powerpoint presentation (33 slides) and accompanying worksheets (10) contains enough resources to cover at least 4 lessons on the topic of sports at GCSE level. The activities included in this bundle aim at developing reading comprehension skills, translation skills and writing skills on the topic of sport and exercise. Pupils are introduced to more challenging vocabulary and phrases. Activities include extension tasks to challenge more able pupils, and there is a mix of activities to suit all abilities (for example, a low ability reading comprehension sheet and a high ability version). The lesson includes a wide range of activities which serve to enhance listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. I have done this lesson many times with my GCSE classes and students always enjoy playing the different games and activities. This is a fun revision lesson for Year 10 or 11. It consists of a series of activities which aim to recap key GCSE grammar and vocabulary. In order to ‘crack the code’, students must complete 9 activities. Each activity will provide students with a code word. Once all 9 activities are correctly completed, they will have 9 code words from which to form a sentence in Spanish. They will then have to translate this sentence into English to crack the code. Worksheet and accompanying powerpoint included. I did this recently with my Year 10 class and they absolutely loved it!
