Children can colour and decorate a birthday card on moving up/transition day. These can then be given out as each child reaches their birthday as a card from the whole class. There are 5 different designs to choose from. These are designed for Year 1.
Take a photo of the children on Moving up/Transition day and stick it int he first frame. (print wallet size and it will fit perfectly) The children can colour the pictures on the sheet. Then at the end of the year repeat with a new photo! This will make a good cover for children’s work or make a nice end of year gift. Boxes are included to add key points through the year, finger print characters for Christmas, Easter etc.
A range of sheets that children can complete on moving up/transition day. Children fill in boxes to inform the teacher and their friends what they are hoping for in the upcoming year. Year 2 sheets have option to draw or write their ideas. These can then be put up as a display for September.
A range of sheets that children can complete on moving up/transition day. Bubbles where children can draw or write information to share with the teacher and the rest of the class. Different sheets have different labels. These can then be put up as a display for September.
These resources are intended to support children with the sequencing style questions encountered in the KS1 SATs tests.
There are 6 original stories that the children read and then number the sentences to place them in the correct order. These questions are often ones that cause the children difficulty so these sheets will allow them to practice this skill in a fun way.
BUNDLE OFFER - ALL UNITS FOR THE WHOLE OF YEAR 2
This resources includes a pre teaching test and a post teaching test for Year 2, Autumn, Spring and Summer term.
Each unit features a two page test to be given before the topic is taught. Another two page test is included to be given at the end of teaching to measure progress.
National curriculum objectives for each unit are listed at the top of the test to enable highlighting of areas that are understood or those that need work.
A ‘Greater Depth’ question is included in all units to ensure challenge for the more able.
All resources use high quality clip arts for the concepts being assessed and also clearly show which work has been done prior to teaching - blue/cold symbols and after teaching - red/hot symbols. There is even a gap at the top of the back page to enable the assessments to be easily stuck into books!
These activities are designed to provide evidence for Teacher Assessment of the KS1 Reading Curriculum.
Resouces provide an activity for some objective on the Teacher Assessment Framework where evidence needs to be provided. These are Working At - 7 and Greater Depth 1, 2 and 3.
There are 3 variations for each objective to enable a number of pieces of evidence to be collected.
All are labelled to make record keeping easier. There is a record sheet which teachers can complete but also give a fun element for children to colour upon completion.
These sheets provide a great evidence log for moderation and the children love working on their ‘log jobs’.
All stories are original and feature situations that the children will be able to relate to, enabling them to successfully draw inferences from the text or predict what might happen next.
These resources link perfectly with my TAF Evidence Sheets for KS1 Maths.
For Moving up/transition day. Print the sheets onto card double sided. Children then draw a picture of where they are going or what they are doing in the summer holidays. They then take this home to send back to school ready for September! These can then be put up on display to show what the children have been up to! Included is a letter to parents explaining the activity. A ready to use activity for that busy end of term period!
