I use these to track progress at the beginning and end of lessons. Pupils circle an emoji at the beginning of the lesson and write a sentence explaining why they think they are at this point. Learning objectives and lesson activities in the lesson can be link to the emoji they select. Pupils can review progress and write a sentence or two explaining why they think this. This can link to a lesson, topic, module and so on! Printable on sticky labels 14 to a sheet.

We use these with our exam classes in the lead up to their final exams! We recommend printing them on nice card, certificate paper or laminating them - just doing something to make them a little bit special! We also put them in an envelope and present them to the students as part of one of our lessons! This lesson builds on student’s understanding of the Mosaic Covenant and the revelation of the Torah on Mt Sinai (including the theme of Shekinah). The lesson looks at the 10 duties which make up the decalogue and why each of these duties is important.Next students explore the Mitzvah as a whole (613) and divergent understandings of these laws. The teaching “Do not kill” is discussed alongside modern moral issues such as euthanasia, war and abortion. This helps to introduce later topics in the scheme of work such as the Talmud and Pikuach Nefesh. Students consolidate and apply their learning with a C 8 mark question.
