An activity mainly recapping 2D and looking more at 3D. It looks at the language involved in 2D and 3D shapes and the features. Please don't mind the voices of Chip the chipmunk - he is my Numeracy friend. :D Enjoy, Nick

I thought it would be a good idea to share a timetable that I use regularly that I got praised for by Moderators. It shows a brief outline of the learning objective (related, in my case, to EYFS early learning goals), any recap and any intro/recap. Hope it is useful.

A fantastic selection of wheels that can be used for any particular lesson. Specifically, multiplying, dividing, decimals, percentages, fractions, averages or even triangles! They’re even editable in case you want to up the anté or simplify! :) Please enjoy these and keep this resource for you and your use alone to incorporate into your own PowerPoints as you see fit. This is a great, editable resource whereby you can test your class with their use of operations. Give them a minute, give them 2 minutes, give them whatever time they need to beat themselves! It’s a great starter for getting them to practise key operations and, more importantly, play with Maths. Enjoy the resource! Nick

This is a fun little rounding activity for Year 4/5 (or lower Year 6). It also has cut out numbers that they can use that show visually rounding up or rounding down. I hope that you have fun with the resource! Nick

Has a quick recap on 2D shapes and then goes onto 3D shapes where point out the main features of certain 3D shapes. The shape hunt we went on in kindergarten It was a little advanced for them but we will come back to it after Christmas. The shape PowerPoint was used in conjunction with making fireworks - cylinders, cuboids and pyramids on the end.

This PowerPoint reviews two-dimensional and three dimensional shapes. Students are then challenged to work with a partner to identify as many three-dimensional shapes as they can.

The Carpet Champion was awarded for children who tried (contributed) in class, did good activate, sat nicely and had had a good day. I did it daily, you may like to do it weekly. I did give a prize in a touchy feely box with cheap pencils, chalks, rubbers, spinning tops, etc. The other is a certificate for most improved on colour tables for the end of term. I laminated them and allowed them a prize from a different box, but again, up to you! First upload so be gentle :) Mr Buckley

A freebie for you! Hope that you enjoy this little Pattern / sequence mash up with some place value as well. Quite easy for some learners, a Foundation Stage child may be able to benefit from this too!
