There are 10 pictures on each page for children to discuss with a partner or group. Each picture is numbered.
Children decide e.g if the umbrella picture shows up or down. If up, they can put the number or write the word in the up box. Children may decide an umbrella could be up or down and write in the up or down box.
This resource encourages speaking and listening and thinking skills with minimal writing.

My trip to the Rainforest
One of a set of resources based on trips suitable for EYFS / KS1 and SEND pupils.
Each resource includes 12 colour and 12 black and white flashcards with symbols.
Sheet 3 asks the children to draw the symbols or paste the pictures under the words.
Sheet 4 is a writing and drawing template. Children can write about their trip.
Links to topic work, journeys, travel, explorers as well as reading, writing and speaking and listening.

Word grids showing each verb and past tense.
Activity ideas
Say or write two sentence for each verb
E.g. The children were having a quarrel.
The children quarrelled this morning.
E.g. I wash my hair each week.
I washed my hair on Friday.
Cut out some of the picture symbols and paste into your workbook. Write 2 sentences next to each one.
E.G. Opening window picture symbol
I open my window in the summer.
Dad opened my window this morning.
Choose 5 cards and work in pairs to make up a verbal or written story. Share with the group or class.

Have fun with your children this Easter or Spring with this Scavenger Hunt game.
The idea is to place your colour posters around the outside area / playground or school for children to locate.
They then mark off what they have found on the Scavenger sheets.
There is a colour and a black and white version of the recording sheets.
There are 16 colour posters included.
There are also 16 sheets where there is a colour and black and white picture of each of the items in the hunt e.g. chick, sun, leaf and bee. Children can colour in the black and white pictures to make them the same.
They could also cut these out to add to a class frieze or display.
There is also a labelling sheet in colour and black and white for children to write the words of each picture onto.

Here are 4 robots that your class will adore. They come with a poem and some information about them and where they live.
Each robot has it’s own colours and personality. Children can gain information from the poem to colour in the 4 robot posters correctly.
There is a matching sheet where children match the robots to their names and then colour them in.

Sheets 1 and 2 - Pictures for children to say and write the initial sounds underneath.
Sheets 3 and 4 - Lower case letters of the alphabet. Can children say the letter and name an object beginning with each letter? Teacher could write the words for the children or the children could draw a picture themselves.
Sheets 5 and 6 - Lower case letter for children to name and write over to assess their handwriting.
Sheet 7 is a blank template to be used any way you want for e.g. for children to write letters as you say them or write a word/draw a picture for a given sound.
A complete lesson for EYFS or KS1 based on Autumn and animals that are often associated with Autumn.
There is a power point to start, with a page on each of the 5 animals represented:
red fox, red squirrel, barn owl, hedgehog and badger.
Each page shows a photograph of the animal and 6 facts about the animal to discuss.
There is then a writing template for each of the animals.
Children can recall some of the facts they have heard, write a story or poem about the animal.
