2 HOURS A fully-resourced PSHE / RSE lesson which serves as an introduction to the difference between sex and gender and explores sexuality, identity, language (correct terms) and gender expression. Students will explore new key terminology before investigating the key components of identity and sexual orientation, why some people still find some of the ideas behind this controversial (such as pronoun use) and then educate other students on a trait they will be working on and presenting in small groups (all information needed is included).
This lesson is great to consolidate the PSHE 2020/24 spiral curriculum (especially for an LGBT+ unit) or for a Citizenship diversity unit. The lesson has been written for KS5 and is editable, so easy to adapt for your own PSHE planning.

A Medical Ethics Unit lasting 12 hours (one lesson is a double) that was created for Year 9 RE, but could easily be used for a capable Year 8 or none-GCSE KS4 group.
Each lesson is very detailed, editable and differentiated three ways with colour-coded challenge tasks for every activity. The lessons are very easy to follow as all the instructions are on the PowerPoints and worksheets. Each of the individual lessons have had excellent reviews so far.

What are the religious and ethical views on abortion? A lesson exploring the pro-choice and pro-life debate and introducing the concept of sanctity and quality of life.
What are the religious and ethical views on euthanasia? A lesson examining the quality vs sanctity of life debate in detail while examining types of euthanasia and religious views on these.

Drugs and morality - a lesson exploring the moral and religious debate around drug use before examining religious quotes and practicing GCSE style exam questions.
Genetic Engineering - an overview lesson on test tube and designer babies as well as religious objections to the technology, with a focus on Christianity and Islam.

For the Gatsby Careers Guidelines - A careers assembly lasting around 20-25 minutes (including short clip) with a focus on why Careers Education is so important and how students can make the most of all the opportunities presented to them whilst in school. The assembly examines the cases of two fictional ex-students, Alisha and Jack, who didn’t take Careers Education seriously and ended up paying the price for it by adding years on to their lives in the time it took them to eventually find their ideal jobs. The slides in the previews are just a sample and not the whole assembly.
The assembly includes optional interactive elements, a 4 minute clip, a lot of motivational information, questions for students to answer and a little humour.

NEW - 2 HOUR lesson all about extremism and radical ideology. Students will first explore how TikTok and Youtube algorithms can recommend videos which purposefully push radical views, from misogyny to extreme religion and more, to people who did not intentially search for such content, and discover how people can fall down radical rabbit-holes. They will examine the 'frog in a pot' anology to show how extremist views can take such a stronghold on people.
Students will then explore the political spectrum to discover what we mean when we talk about far right, far left and religious extremism, comparing these to sensible left of centre, right of centre and moderate religious views. Using this guide, students will then examine real-life quotes from TikTok and assess whether the quotes would be classed as moderate and sensible views, or are in fact extreme. There are many more quotes than shown in the preview, so teachers can pick and choose which they use according to the suitability for their classes.
There are also clip tasks and information packs included, as well as the detailed PowerPoint. Created for KS4, but could be edited for a high ability KS3 set.
Everything is editable and ready to go.

Rights and responsibilities KS2 or Lower KS3 PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson.
In this lesson, the students will explore the concept of rights. We will discuss a series of examples including the right to equality, freedom, free speech and having our basic human needs met. We will reflect on the relationship between rights and responsibilities and discuss the reasons why we have rights in the first place. The lesson includes a jigsaw activity, where the students match rights to a corresponding responsibility. The lesson also includes an information sheet, a video clip task, a main task that focuses on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and a Venn diagram plenary activity.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.

A 90 mins - 2 hours fully-resourced PSHCE lesson all about the importance of critical thinking and being able to spot and debunk fake news. Positive Friendships PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the qualities that people often look for in a good friend. We will discuss what we mean by a ‘toxic’ friendship, and discuss whether it is ever ok to end a friendship. We will look at the importance of trust, honesty and respect in building positive relationships. The students will then use their knowledge to create a magic spell to conjure a perfect friendship.
