10 Music Lessons
Suitable for pupils in Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2.
Comprising of ten detailed, easy to follow music lessons for pupils with a range of abilities; this unit builds on the skills learned in Units 1 and 2.
There are at least ten music lessons in this unit but depending on the age an ability of your pupils, you may choose to deliver them in smaller chunks.
This unit of work reinforces how to play glockenspiels correctly, how to read, play and perform using lettered score. It teaches pupils a wider range of songs and introduces three-part harmony.
Pupils also learn to use a wider range of musical terms and signs.
It can be delivered to a small group of three, or as many pupils as you have.
You do not have to have a musical background to teach it.
These resources will support your delivery of the National Curriculum for Music. This unit focuses on Listening and Playing (National Curriculum for Music 2013). In addition, the activities also aid development of a range of wider skills including focus, team-work, performing, coordination and confidence.
This resource includes;
• Ten detailed lesson plans with numerous exercises to practise
• A PowerPoint presentation of the lettered scores and song words
• Numerous hints, tips and advice to support your pupils in making progress

• An MP3 file recording of each song, for your support.
