This fully resourced lesson introduces new students to working safely in the lab. It is designed for Year 7 students and covers the following topics:
-The importance of lab safety
-Common lab safety equipment
-Hazard symbols and their meanings
-How to identify and avoid hazards in the lab
-What to do in the event of an accident
Aimed at a mixed ability Year 7 class.
Lesson contains:
●Teacher and technician notes: These notes provide detailed instructions on how to deliver the lesson, as well as information on the different types of lab safety equipment and hazard symbols.
