This is a fully differentiated lesson looking at the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. The lesson focuses on the theme of social class and how this is conveyed in the novel. In addition, the lesson looks at the relationship between Pip and Herbert both at the beginning of the novel and as Pip’s character develops. This lesson can be taught both face-to-face or remotely and has been tried and tested with my own groups.
