This Alert Pillar Pack contains a range of activities that will teach pupils to Check it’s For Real when online.
The activities cover topics such as how to protect your online reputation, and how to spot the clues that something may be suspicious, misleading or a scam.
They also show children what phishing scams can look like, and how to respond to messages from someone they may not know.
Four of the activities have a Media Literacy focus. These develop analytical skills to evaluate different sources of information, identify disinformation, and be able to carry out effective searches online.

This Brave Pillar Pack contains a range of activities that will teach pupils to define and encourage responsible behaviour online.
The activities cover topics such as what to say if you come across something that makes you feel uncomfortable online, and what your options are – such as blocking and reporting.
The activities teach pupils that if they are in any doubt, they should share their thoughts and feelings with someone who can help them. Pupils will learn how to show bravery and to discuss issues, concerns or questions with a trusted adult.
Three of the activities have a Social and Emotional Literacy focus – exploring the roles involved in a bullying incident and the options an upstander has, as well as practising and rehearsing what to do if they see something upsetting or mean online.
