This is a set of all of the Key Terms for the Year 1 AQA A level Psychology course. BRILLIANT FOR REVISION ACTIVITIES. I have included 6 suggestions (and instructions) for how the cards can be used. My advice is if you have multiple sets of the same cards print each set on a different colour card so if you find a random word around your room you can quickly identify which set it belongs to!
Activity explanations include: 1) Articulate 2) Pictionary 3) Key word hunt 4) Bingo 5) Sort Out 6) You say we pay/Hot Seat
Includes: Crossword (and answers), summary table (and answers), Odd one out, Key terms, Whiteboard Questions and a key numbers sheet
Useful for a revision lesson or summary lesson when you have finished the topic.
A set of revision sheets which can be used as A4 for shorter summaries or blown up to A3 for adding more detail. Some exam questions included on each as well.
There are separate sheets for each of the biopsychology topics.
Also included is a Biopsychology A2 crossword and answers for revision.
This includes: A crossword, Key term cards, summary sheets, end of topic short answer exam question test (35 marks), summary sheets and a key studies sheet.
There are also summary sheets available for Schizophrenia and biopsychology.
A whole selection of resources for the RESEARCH METHODS (year 1) of AQA A Level Psychology.

A crossword (and answers)
A sample exam question and some answers for it
A blank revision table and a filled in version
A set of key term cards (useful for Pictionary, describing to each other etc)
A set of bingo words (display on board and students write 9 of them in a grid, teacher then describes them and students mark their words off one by one)
This includes two sets of key terms for A2 Paper 3 mainly. It includes key terms from:
Forensic,
Debates
Schizophrenia
Gender
Biopsychology
The large set can be used for numerous games - see sheet of ideas which is included.
There is a smaller set included specifically for Pictionary as not all words would be possible to draw.
Revision activity for students to complete checking their knowledge of key terms. They have answers provided too.
Topics included:
Gender
Forensic
Schizophrenia
The Approaches
Biopsychology
Research Methods AS
Memory
Psychopathology
This is a range of exam question from short answer to shorter essay (10 marks). It includes about 40 marks worth of questions. Students can be given all of them or just some of them. I used them to create two different tests for 2 different classes.
A full lesson for the social influence topic of AQA Psychology. It is designed to be the second lesson in the topic after the Milgram lesson that has already been uploaded. It includes:
Alternative studies of obedience to Milgram (Hofling and Burger)
Situational Variables affecting Obedience.
It includes:
A Notes Sheet - which matches the ppt and the students take their notes into this sheet to avoid taking too many notes
Ppt which serves as lesson plan really as well
Activities:
Card Sort of Milgrams Variations
Exam Questions for Homework
Questionnaire for students to highlight factors affecting obedience
This includes a powerpoint of notes and activities. I get them to complete the note sheet while going through the ppt to save taking too many notes. There are then activities to complete once the definitions have been covered including a card sort, applied case study and an essay plan. There are sometimes answers or instructions on the notes part of the powerpoint. There are also video links on the powerpoint.
This takes me two lessons (1 hr and 30 mins each) to complete the full set of activities.
This includes:
Revision powerpoint (teacher and student version)
60 revision cards
Exam Questions and Mark Schemes
Hot seat Revision game
Summary sheets
Odd one out
Key term cards
There is a similar set of resources for the Schizophrenia Topic.
This includes revision summary ppts for all paper 1 A2 topics.
Most topics are condensed to one manageable slide that can be turned into revision cards. Also included a key terms recap revision sheet as a bonus.
I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. Sometimes asking them to complete sections before I go through it.
This is a bundle of full lessons, including powerpoints and activities for the Psychopathology AQA Psychology module.
It includes weeks worth of lessons on the topics. Variety of activities included from case studies, exam questions, powerpoints, match tasks, card sorts, video links,
Includes a couple of resources I use on open evenings for promoting Psychology.
Serial Killer or Psychologist - I made these into cards with a photo on the front and descroption of who the person is on the back them laminated them. The idea is that the students have to sort the cards into two piles based on appearance alone. I then discuss things like lombroso theory, nature nuture of offending, biological causes (because if there are similarities in faces of criminals it could mean similarities in DNA etc), and offender profiling with them.
True or false statements - I put these in a jar and they pull out one and we discuss it.
A display poster of the topics we cover
Interesting Conditions - just some more unusual conditions that can be discussed
A mirror task shapes - if you buy a couple of small mirrors (the small mirror tiles work well from Ikea) then the students have to do the mirror task done by HM. Draw a line in the small 1cm gap between the lines of the shapes by only looking in the mirror. I do this by blocking their vision to their hand using another sheet of paper (or can use a card board box cut out.

Another good resource for RM is the workshop on designing research essays
https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12744159
A taster session designed to give to year 10/year 11 students thinking of A-level Psychology.
Covers Lombroso and biological causes of murder so not really suitable for young children.
Included is the popular resource - serial killer or Psychologist card sort to see whether there is anything in the faces of serial killers that gives them away.
Lesson has video links and lots of discussion points and takes me around 45 mins.
Resource gives a basic overview of what I teach in each lesson for year 1 with dates of 2022-2023.
Good to show how long works well to spend on each area
Paper 1 and Approaches and RM from Paper 2
Based on 3x90min lessons a week
This is a set of over 100 revision cards - great for independent or pair learning.
The cards have a question on the front and an answer on the back so students can test themselves or split the pack in half and ask each other alternately. They need to be printed doubled sided (or stuck back to back.
They were made for the New AQA Psychology specification but could be easily adapted for other specifications. I have sets for both first year and second year topics and they can bought as a bundle for a discount.
