I used it to introduce to Year 10 to poetry - it’s a great way to prevent the usual groans that happen whenever poetry is mentioned!
AQA Literature Paper 1: Essay on Scrooge
This is a lesson on how to answer AQA Literature Paper 1 Section B (A Christmas Carol).
It is aimed at lower-attaining students and contains the Assessment Objectives written in a more accessible way.
It also includes sentence starters to help students write a paragraph.
The question is ‘Starting with this extract, how does Dickens present Scrooge as an outsider to society?’ This question was taken from the AQA Specimen paper from 2014.
