An enjoyable five day poetry unit to use with KS1 during the summer term. During the unit, children have the opportunity to read, study and learn two poems; one about water and one about the beach. They take a seasonal walk on day 3, in which they gather vocabulary, before spending two days writing their own poetry. All activities are engaging and interactive and allow children to work as a whole class, in groups, pairs and individually.
