This is a set of resources to introduce and practice telling the time in French, both with the 12 and 24-hour clock. The PowerPoint initially introduces the o’clock times with practice opportunities and then goes on to minutes past the hour. There are plenty of speaking practice activities, true/false activities and writing practice. The PowerPoint then goes on to minutes to the hour with practice and then further practice of all the 12-hour clock and some O/X games that can be played in two class teams. The 24-hour clock is then introduced with a whole range of practice activities, as with the 12-hour clock. To accompany the PowerPoint there is a worksheet for all the 12 activities, which are easily editable. Pupils will gain a good knowledge of telling the time in French, and will be able to both recognise time and tell the time.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This PowerPoint introduces 11 colours (rouge, rose, orange, jaune, bleu, vert, blanc, noir, gris, violet, brun) and there are lots of practice activities. The colours are introduced with the words and then there are lots of practice activities without the words. Slides 31 – 33 can be printed as these are colour by number activities. There are match up exercises, find the missing colours, unjumble the words, fill in the missing letters, very short sentences to copy and complete and so on. There is also a separate word search document.

This document is in the format of worksheets/ a booklet that can be given to all GCSE students. It is broken down into themes and then into the 12 topics within each theme. For each topic there are translation exercises both into English, as on the Reading Exams and into French, as the Writing Exams. It is 36 pages in length and contains 120 translations of varying lengths and levels of challenge. 2. For the new GCSE exams, pupils will be expected to understand all French exam rubrics. This PowerPoint goes through all rubrics needed, starting with understanding the main verbs, commonly used words and then through to whole instructions in French. There are plenty of exercises for pupils to complete and a worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. 3. GCSE Vocabulary. This is a 29 page document which contains AQA French GCSE vocabulary. The vocabulary is categorised in to sections – including themes and topics within themes. It is easy to use these sections or even break down the sections to set regular vocabulary learning homework. This ensures that over the two-year GCSE course, students have been exposed to all essential vocabulary. There are vocabulary extras, particularly in the topics of: technology, social issues and global issues.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce and cover numbers from 1 – 100. There is a lengthy PowerPoint (74 slides) that covers initially 1 – 10 and then 11 – 20, followed by lots of practice activities. The numbers up to 100 are then introduced in stages. The PowerPoint has a whole range of activities, which are accompanied by a 6-page worksheet and a word search sheet. The activities include sums, number patterns and sequences, match-ups, true/false activities and oral practice. A great way to introduce numbers and build up to some challenging activities; ensuring the comprehension and use of all numbers up to 100.

Easily adaptable for home learning. This is a set of resources to introduce and cover the topic of where you live. The resources introduce and practise: geographical locations; types of accommodation; rooms in the house; and household furniture. There is enough work for at least 6 lessons and there are worksheets that accompany all of the exercises on the Power Points. There is an assessment for pupils to complete, which will take 2-3 lessons. The assessment is based on producing an Estate Agents brochure for selling a house. With this there are examples of how to complete the assessment, criteria and a DIRT feedback sheet.

This resource is a comprehensive pack to ensure students can understand and successfully form the pluperfect tense. There are two lengthy Power Points, which will take several lessons in order for pupils to grasp and successfully conjugate the pluperfect tense of avoir verbs, both regular and irregular, as well as all être verbs, including reflexives. The Power Points can be used for pupils to use or copy to form accurate grammar/ resource notes in their books, which they can then refer back to when working individually to form this tense. On each PowerPoint there are lots of exercises for pupils to complete to check comprehension. The exercises are mainly translation, which are in line with the new GCSE specifications. In each set there is plenty of practice of each item. Pupils are able to practice answers to question about what they wear and what other people wear/ are wearing (present tense only). There are various activities for them to complete and a lengthy worksheet that accompanies the PowerPoint. Also enclosed in the pack is a word search document. After practicing all of the clothes, the PowerPoint revises colours and goes on to explain adjectival colour agreements with lots of examples. There is a table that pupils can copy or it can be printed, as a reference for all future work with colour adjectival agreements. This is a booklet that can be printed for each student and contains approximately 200 general conversation questions. These questions have put together by researching all exam boards specifications and example materials. The questions are in themes are also broken down into sub-themes. Within each set of questions in a sub-theme, they have been classified into tenses so that pupils can be clear of the tense they need to use to answer the relevant question. These can form the basis of regular classroom practice for the speaking exam and if pupils are confident with these questions, they will also be able to answer many of the questions that will form part of the photo card section of the exam. This is a set of 30 role-plays in a printable format to use for mock/ preparation/ class practice for speaking exams. These are all based on Theme 3 – Current and Future Study and Employment. They have been compiled by studying exemplar materials given by all exam boards. There are 15 foundation tier and 15 higher tier role-plays. There is a teacher’s pack for each set of role-plays, giving the teacher’s part for each conversation. There are also two Power Points, one for the foundation role-plays, one for the higher set. Each PowerPoint starts with an explanation of the role play section of the exam and then shows each role play card, followed by showing the (!) unknown question so that students can also prepare for that/ start to predict what the unknown question could be.
