I have taught all levels from kindergarten to adult continuing education. I love languages and am constantly working on improving and adding to them. I believe that if students have fun, they will learn faster and remember longer. I try to have students speak in the target language as much as possible during the limited time that they are in class.

Print on cardstock and laminate to last for years to come. Make 1 game board for every 2-3 students. You will need 2 dice for each game board. You also need bingo chips to mark squares. Or, if laminated, students can use a dry erase marker to initial a square. Students take turns rolling the dice to determine which square. Students must correctly conjugate the verb in the square for both of the subjects to win it. Student with most squares at the end of time wins the game OR student who gets 6 in a row (“bingo”) wins. Version 1 has 12 irregular verbs which are commonly taught in French 1: aller, avoir, boire, devoir, être, faire, mettre, pouvoir, prendre, venir, voir, vouloir. Version 2 has 36 irregular verbs which are commonly taught by the end of French 2: the 12 from version 1 plus apercevoir, apprendre, conduire, connaître, courir, croire, devenir, dire, dormir, écrire, lire, mourir, offrir, ouvrir, permettre, promettre, recevoir, reprendre, revenir, savoir, servir, sortir, suivre, vivre. Can easily edit which verbs to use. Can be used for any tense.

PowerPoint game (1 slide) that works on developing memory and clothing vocabulary. Clothing (20 pieces) enter one at a time (click to advance) & disappear behind the suitcase. At the beginning of each round student says "Voy de vacaciones y en mi maleta voy a poner (text is permanently on screen) & mention clothing. Round 2: mention 1st, then 2nd item. Round 3: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Can be played individually, with partners or teams. Winner can correctly recall all 20 items IN ORDER.

This is the same game as my Notebook game. Game board has a path of 24 spaces. Class is divided into teams that take turns rolling the die and moving along the path. There are 3 shortcuts ahead and 3 traps sending you backwards. To stay on a space, student must correctly conjugate the verb or make a sentence with it.
