Students give the possible question to get a nought or a cross on the corresponding square. For example: for Emmanuel Macron, students ask “who is the president of France?” Great first lesson or end of term activity, good for cultural awareness.

German numbers 1-10 - cut and paste

(2)
A simple (starter/plenary) activity for teaching or revising German numbers 1-10. For printing and giving out as a worksheet. Children can either write the numbers in German underneath the digits on slide 1, or they can cut out the words on slide 2 and stick them underneath the digits on slide 1. Smaller children will enjoy colouring in the numbers. Can be easily adapted for any language. Also available in pdf format, if this is easier to print off.

(1)
A quick and simple French game for Easter. Roll a die and draw the corresponding part of the Easter bunny! I made it for some primary school children I tutor, but I think lots of secondary students would enjoy it as well. Could be easily adapted for different languages.

Questions to practice German word order

(1)
A list of questions to help students practise German word order, particularly subordinate clauses. Can be cut up and students pick one at a time, answering as they go along (orally) - could even be used with a board game such as snakes and ladders. They could be transferred to a powerpoint and turned into a starter activity. Or they could be done to check learning after a lesson on word order.
