These are a collection of wordsearches of high frequency words for grades / years 3 and 4.
There are four for grade 3 and two for grade 4.
The grade 3 wordsearches contain a quick additional task of placing the contraction in the correct blank.
The grade 4 wordsearches contain an instruction for a challenge to complete sentences using the words from the wordsearch.
These wordsearch activities reinforce spellings, help strengthen a child’s vocabulary, emphasise pattern recognition and are great for practicing drawing lines! The additional tasks allow the child to demonstrate their understanding of the words.
25 files to make up the following:
Two rating scales - 0-5 and 0-10. Vibrant, gradient-coloured from red to green. Each scale image is ready for A3 (29.7am x 42cm) printing so a full scale will be up to approx. 3 x A3 (or approx. 120cm.)
Title letters are ready to print on A4 paper (21cm x 29.7cm) Options available are black and the vibrant, gradient of red to green.
Smileys if you want to help communicate what each position on the scale represents for a particular activity.
These scales are excellent to use when gauging understanding or confidence levels e.g. at the start of a lesson, children answer a set of questions and then post-it their name on the scale reflecting however many questions they got correct. The same questions can be asked after the learning has taken place and children can move their name post-its up the scale to reflect their progress. Simple but effective! (Useful for observations to sign-post progress or increased confidence levels.)
The scales can be stuck back to back before laminating to easily switch between the scales.
You can even print out mini versions and stick them into books or onto worksheets and have children assess / provide feedback on their own performance.
A simple but very effective tool when it comes to assessment and reflection!
This is a great bundle to get into the mood of the UEFA Champions League - Final 16, for the 2021/2022 year.
This contains 3 resources plus the solutions for each:
A wordsearch of the 16 clubs in the ‘Final 16’ knockout phase, plus spaces for students to make their Champions and Runners-up predictions
A labelling activity where students need to label the image with the name of one of the Final-16 teams (there is a slightly blurred version of this to make it a little more difficult for student, as you see fit)
An anagrams activity where students need to unscramble the words to give the name of one player from each of the Final-16 teams (they may need some clues for this one!) This will exercise their English language skills!
(4 separate activity files included plus 3 solutions / answers.)
These activities are meant to entertain the students in the run-up to the UCL knockout phase which is due to begin in February 2022.
Particularly if you or your students are fans of football, this will be a fun activity to complete in the classroom! At the end-of-term / beginning of term, this will be a refreshing activity to complete e.g. during form / tutor time or during a portion of one of your lessons.
There is also opportunity with this activity to talk about which countries the clubs are from, where the players are from, how you pronounce their names, and you can even extend the activity by asking students to find out the names of their home stadiums etc…
Enjoy!
