Hello again, week 4 for White Rose Maths addition and subtraction. This covers, ‘How many left (2)’, ‘Subtraction: Breaking apart’, ‘Fact Families: 8 facts’, and ‘Counting back’. This includes a plan, all the sheets to go with it including ‘green challenges’, with LI and/or SC grids, and ActivInspire and Smart Board flipcharts. I hope you find it useful. Hello. This is my planning and resources to go with White Rose Maths for Year 2, Autumn Block 2, Addition and Subtraction, week 3. As this was about place value as much as addition and subtraction I found it quite involved and complex so my planning and supporting flips are even more detailed than usual in an effort to be clear. One of my mini-projects for my MA involved teaching an extended three week block on place value and representation with my now grown up Year 2 class. It was hugely effective at securing understanding of place value and I think this one can be too from the small steps and models White Rose have put together, but it is dense. You may find you need to run this over into the following week, but maybe not. I would love to hear how it works for you and your children.
