This bundle contains four power points which are ideal for last minute revision lessons for the Weimar and Nazi Germany unit (paper 3). Each power point cover the AO1 and AO2 for each of the four key topics. There are sample examination questions to practice built in, and at the end of each section there are short questions to test content.
These lessons would take approximately about 8 hours to teach.
Edexcel GCSE History. These lessons focus fully on examination practice, and complement the migration through time workbook (also available as a bundle), but can be used as a stand alone resource. There are about 4 to 5 lessons contained within the power point, each outlining examination technique/structure, model and answers and practice questions for the students. The power point contains 30 slides.

This bundle contains 10 lessons needed to teach the ‘women and civil rights’ section on the Civil Rights unit for the A Level history course. There are 10 lessons, all carefully planned to extend student thinking and to meet the assessment objectives for success at A Level. The lessons are fully resourced. and although an approved textbook is desirable, it is not essential.

This assembly has been created for Holocaust Memorial Day. It starts by putting into perspective the sheer number of people murdered in the genocide by focusing on the figure 6,000,000 in real terms. It then considers how intolerance; racism and prejudice escalates and eventually can lead to genocide - testimonies of survivors are used to capture this. Have we learnt from the Holocaust? No - map of genocides around the world since the Holocaust. The assembly then moves onto the theme of resistance - what happens when people don’t speak out - clip of Marin Niemoller’s poem. The assembly end with the discussion of what can happen when people do act resist with a focus on Oskar Schindler - last 5 minutes of Schindle’s list included so that students can reflect on how many lives can be saved when people bravely resist brutality.
Duration: 30 minutes, but can be adapted if you don’t have this much time.

This resource is divided into 3 parts, and is aimed at a fun end of term activity for students or a homework to test their geography knowledge.
They have to answer 30 questions relating to key stage 3 geography units
They have to find the 30 answers in the word search grid
They have to create a design warning about global warming
There is also a bonus question.

This is the first lesson of a unit of work on conservatism for the EDEXCEL A Level Government and Politics. It gives an overview of ideologies in general and then focuses on conservatism - human nature and society. It is fully resourced and contains activities to extend students’ sills in addition to their understanding of content.

This bundle contains 4 lessons which form part of the A unit on civil rights. They consider the impact of Malcolm X and black power and require students to look at how much effect black power had on civil rights. The lessons contain various activities to extend students including a debate; regular discussion; evidence gathering and end with an exam-style interpretations questions.

This lesson covers the case study for key topic 1 for the new EDEXCEL GCSE History breadth study Migrants in Britain. It looks at the city of York under the Vikings. This contain all of the knowledge that students need for the exam; a practice causation question, and opportunities for discussion and evaluation throughout. This case study should be taught at the end of key topic 1 - Migration in Medieval England.
If all activities are covered the duration of the lesson will be 2 hours. Suitable for all ability groups.

This assessment and these lessons have been created to help determine the understanding of students and embed relevant skills necessary to approach KS3 history.
It is recommended that the students complete the baseline test; the results are recorded but not shared. The 6 lessons are taught and then the test is repeated and progress monitored. This will help for planning and differentiation for the year.

This bundle contains 6 lessons covering the third part of the first key topic on for the A Level Unit Democracy and Dictatorship in Germany. These lessons focus on the fall of the Weimar Republic and the rise to power of Hitler and the Nazis. They each take an hour to teach (lesson 21 takes 2 hours), and although a text book is desirable it is not essential. Activities are included within the power point.

It considers how the Nazi economy became politicised and evaluates the historiography of the nature of the Nazi economy. The powerpoint contains all of the resources, however a text book is useful. This is the first lesson on the reign of Elizabeth I following on from the lessons on the Mid Tudor Crisis (bundle available). This lesson considers Elizabeth’s challenges when she comes to the throne and the legacy left for her by Mary.
