A Level US Government and Politics. The Nature of the US Constitution
This bundle contains the first 5 lessons on the US Constitution to cover the requirements for the A Level US Government and Politics specification. They include a background lesson on the creation of the Constitution (also suitable forA Level History) and 4 lessons investigating the nature of the US Constitution including structure; entrenchment; amendment etc. The block of lesson is completed with introducing students to a section A exam question which is modeled.
This is fully resourced, but access to Pearson Edexcel A Level US Government and Politics text book would be useful.
The lessons are based on a one hour lesson, but students will have to complete significant independent study to complete the set tasks.

EDEXCEL GCSE MIGRATION THROUGH TIME LESSON. CAUSES AND IMPACT OF MIGRATION SINCE 1900
This lesson looks at the causes and impact of migration to; from and within Britain since 1900. It contains linking starter and plenary which focuses on migration as a breadth study. Discussion activities and examination modeling and practice. It is suitable as an opening lesson for the EDEXCEL GCSE History specification on migration from 1900.
This lesson takes approximately an hour to teach.
A LEVEL DEMOCRACIES AND DICTATORSHIPS IN GERMANY KEY TOPIC 2 LESSON 6. THE NAZI POLICE STATE.
This lesson continues with the theme of ‘who held the power in Nazi Germany?’ It considers the role of the Nazi Police State. It discusses the historiography of the Gestapo and where the interpretations originate, and the power of the SS, including the role of Himmler and the different divisions within the SS. All activities are built into the power point, and the lesson concludes with requiring the students to answer a comparative examination-style question.
Including the videos and activities, this lesson will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to deliver.
A LEVEL DEMOCRACIES AND DICTATORSHIPS IN GERMANY KT2 LESSON 4. THE NAZI SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT
This is the fifth lesson for Key Topic 2 in the Democracies and Dictatorships in Germany A Level unit. This lesson focuses on the Nazi system of government and compares the power of the party with the power of the state, with a focus on the role of Hitler and Dualism. The activities are contained within the power point, and students are required to reach a conclusion about where the power in Germany lay - the party or the state?
This lesson would take approximately 1 hour to teach including the activities.

PRESIDENT JOHNSON'S GREAT SOCIETY - A LEVEL
This is a 4/5 hours introductory lesson to President Johnson’s Great Society. It contains an extended power point, and the resources to complement the tasks. It gives the students the opportunity to use contemporary source material to research for their evaluative writing.
The resource was created for the AQA American Dream unit, however can be used for any A Level course covering post war US history.

BERLIN - A DIVIDED CITY
This is part of a scheme of learning that made for Year 9 about the Cold War era. It is about Berlin as a divided City and is lesson 11-12 in the scheme of learning.
It focuses on the origins of the division; differences in peoples’ live in the east and west; the causes and consequences of the Berlin Wall; and looks at escape attempts. It includes clips and tasks.
THE ARMS RACE
This is lesson 13 and 14 of a Year 9 scheme of learning made to cover the 20th century world. It has been created in a way that ensures that students who do not choose GCSE history are informed of key developments that are shaping our world today. Other lessons from this unit are also available. This can also be used for the teaching of GCSE.
