Ppt presentation I created to collate some fun tried and tested activities to teach the perfect tense to KS4 students.
It can be easily adapted to any ability group due to the nature of the activities.
It provides an explanation of what it is (uses), time indicators, formation (endings) and main irregular forms.
It then includes 4 different activities: a basic sentence translation activity, a never have I ever task to get your students standing up and down depending on whether they’ve done a number of things (18 in total), a differentiated die activity to do in pairs to conjugate verbs in the perfect tense or take it a bit further and ask each other questions based on the given verbs, and finally a list of 26 things students might have or might have not done before they finish school, to practise “ya” and “aun no”.
