Introduction to Business Studies/ Management

This resource is for grades 9 to 12 students seeking to study Business management for the IB diploma or for the Ordinary level and Advanced level certificate. This resource seeks to explain the following:

a)Student to understand the meaning of a business.
b) To understand the main role of a business.
c)To understand the importance of Business Studies
d) The difference between goods and services
e) The meaning of profit

This resource has a starter activity to get the students in the spirit of business, it involves the planning and research that needs to be done before starting a business. This starter is at the beginning and leads to the important points that business is about identifying customers needs and wants and satisfying them.There is no point in producing a product that is not needed or is not solving a critical problem.
