These nine SATs style assessments are ideal to use after reading each of the nine chapters of the book in guided reading or English. Three animal-related activities where pupils must add punctuation to information texts about three animals: badgers, hedgehogs and spiders. The first novel in the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz is full of literary devices such as similes, metaphors and personification. Examples of these and more are explored to give pupils a deeper understanding of the text and enable them to create their own to enhance their writing.
