SPANISH AR VERBS FUTURE TENSE

GCSE SPANISH KS3 FUTURE TENSE AR VERBS CONJUGATION PRACTICE 25 high-frequency Spanish AR verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys ideal for KS3 Spanish students who are beginning to work with compound sentences and longer texts, and generally developing their knowledge and understanding of conjugation and tense in Spanish. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. The workbook focuses on the correct conjugation of verbs, rather than usage. For example, students with English as a first language do often try to conflate what they know about conjugation in both languages, and we frequently see students getting a little confused by the absence of a direct equivalent of will, before they really grasp that the notion of future is indicated in the verb stem + relevant pronoun ending, which is an entirely new concept for learners. In turn, they often mix up future tense and conditional tense endings, and I find it really useful to look at both tenses fairly closely together so that students can compare and contrast both formation and usage. The resource is structured as follows: Two alphabetical verb reference lists: Spanish-English and English-Spanish, useful for longer-term reference too Three differentiated conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in Spanish across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation. Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in Spanish, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in Spanish. Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding Spanish verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from a Spanish prompt. Notes and Next Steps template to encourage my students to reflect on their progress, and think about what they can reasonably and realistically do to meet learning targets and progress in their learning answer key Have a browse in my store for more Spanish grammar activities, and a wide range of Spanish language teaching and learning materials, with special offer bundles, resource boxes, and lots of freebies too! KS5 SPANISH A LEVEL CONDITIONAL PERFECT TENSE AR VERBS CONJUGATION PRACTICE 25 high-frequency Spanish AR verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys ideal for advanced KS5 Spanish / advanced level Spanish students who are working with more complex language and texts, including authentic resources which feature a range of tenses.. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. Though the workbook focuses solely on the correct conjugation of verbs, and does not look at word order in the context of full sentences, there are fixed conjugation patterns that students can learn, recognise and apply, ensuring that their spoken and written Spanish is accurate, and that their understanding of Spanish across the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing is robust. Students become very familiar and confident the more they work with conjugation, and these quick conjugations certainly help to embed that successfully. GCSE SPANISH KS3 SPANISH KS4 SPANISH IMPERFECT TENSE ER VERBS CONJUGATION PRACTICE 25 high-frequency Spanish ER verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys ideal for advanced KS3 Spanish & KS4 Spanish students who are regularly working with more complex language and texts, including several tenses. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. Though the workbooks focus on formation and conjugation, rather than usage, I still find it useful to remind students of a number of things when focusing on or revising tense and verb formation and conjugation. Language learners tend to conflate what they know about grammar in their first language with the grammar of the language they are learning. For example, students with English as a first language frequently confuse the imperfect tense with the preterite tense when they are conjugating them, as well as when and how to use either tense. There are specific differences in usage between the tenses, and I do always discuss this with students about this when we’re using the workbooks The resource is structured as follows: Two alphabetical verb reference lists: Spanish-English and English-Spanish, useful for longer-term reference too Three differentiated conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in Spanish across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation. GERMAN VERBS BOOK #1

GCSE GERMAN KS4 GERMAN KS5 GERMAN VERBS 500 high-frequency German verbs, listed alphabetically both German-English and English-German - a great learning support resource for KS4 German moving into advanced German A Level learners, and can also be given to KS3 German students, providing verb audit tool, and a language road map with learning goals, outlining the verbs they should ideally know by a specific stage in their learning. I create a lot of language learning reference books for my languages students, they’re really popular with my students, who like to have a bank of reference resources for both initial learning and longer-term revision. There are 42 pages in the book, and all 500 verbs are listed alphabetically German-English and English-German. Each German verb is indicated by irr; sein; sep for example, to denote irregular, conjugated with sein, separable. I use the reference book for quick vocabulary quizzes too - either I or a nominated student shouts out a German or English verb, with teams giving the corresponding German or English verb - I’ve found this is a really successful way of avoiding more formal vocabulary tests, while still providing students with frequent opportunity to refresh and embed essential German vocabulary. For UK teachers, these are roughly GCSE / Standard / age 16 examinations moving into advanced level, all examination boards (AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas, SQA). We use the Notes and Next Steps template to think about progress and vocabulary knowledge. Students find this really useful, and do like to map and track their own progress. It can be helpful in guiding and informing whole-group discussion about learning and progress in general, which is a really useful learning activity too - students also note down any new German verbs they learn, enabling them to build a really comprehensive verb vocabulary reference resource. The verbs are useful for engaging with the following topics and themes: youth, identity & lifestyle fashion culture, customs and traditions relationships and family technology and social media sport, health and fitness free time, hobbies and interests entertainment and leisure food and drink Germany and German-speaking countries local, national & international global areas of interest transport holidays, tourism and travel environment, pollution, recycling and climate social issues school, college, current and future study work experience, skills and personal qualities employment, ambitions and career plans Files are non-editable in a zipped format. NUMBERS 0-20 ADDITION & SUBTRACTION CARDS

(1)
**MATHS FOR EARLY YEARS - ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION NUMBERS 0-20 GAMES CARDS - PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING NUMERACY SKILLS - 72 CALCULATIONS ** MONSTER MATHS MATCHING GAME CARDS are perfect for practising addition and subtraction, focusing on numbers up to 20. Children can work together or alone, challenging each other and themselves to calculate correctly in order to find the right answer. The monster theme is really popular with children too, and the physical nature of the games is effective for all learners, particularly those who tend to favour kinaesthetic learning activities. I’ve found that the games work particularly well for small group and intervention or additional support work. They’re perfect for rainy day games both at school and at home too! Children enjoy working both at their own pace, and also sometimes with a little competitive edge in teams, using a timer to really challenge themselves - can they beat their own time record? Revisit regularly to map both improved number recognition and calculation skill, as well as increasing confidence. The question cards are numbered, which helps children track their responses when they refer to the answer key. Having access to the answer key helps facilitate both self– and peer assessment in the matching game, and enables children to become a little more independent in their learning. They can easily identify which questions and responses are either addition or subtraction by looking for the +/- sign, and also the position of the monster on the card. Laminate the cards and answer keys if you can - you’ll be able to use them for years to come! I’ve included both a colour and a B&W version of the cards and answer keys, which is helpful if you need to keep prep costs down. This resource consists of four non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the Terms of Use carefully - this resource is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. THANKS AND HAVE LOTS OF MONSTER MATHS FUN!

There are 80 cards in total, which include 2 decks of 40 cards to enable you to differentiate your games: - purple bunny cards with the word written out in full in LATIN, as well as the picture prompt. - blackline bunny cards with the word written out in full in ENGLISH, as well as the picture prompt - blackline bunny cards with the picture prompt only - purple bunny cards with the word written out in full in LATIN - this is really useful for word recognition and recall The animals featured are: - bee - bird - cat - dog - duck - elephant - fish - fox - frog - giraffe - lion - monkey - mouse - parrot - rabbit - snake - spider - tiger - tortoise/turtle - zebra I've suggested a range of really successful and popular games to play - play them games as often as possible around EASTER TIME for maximum benefit - the EASTER BUNNIES are always really popular with little learners! Playing against a timer adds some extra fun! Laminate the cards for longevity - you will be able to play the EASTER BUNNY games for many EASTERTIMES to come! Older learners embarking on their LATIN journey really enjoy the games too! The resource consists of a single, non-editable pdf file. It is copyright, all rights reserved. PRIMARY LATIN NUMBERS ROMAN NUMERALS POSTERS

PRIMARY LATIN NUMBERS ROMAN NUMERALS 1-20 POSTERS FLASHCARDS My young Latin learners love the colourful display, which give the classroom a great Latin look and feel. Giving your learning environment a Latin ’look’ also promotes Latin as a ’real’ language, featuring in the everyday life of the students. We use them for counting, spelling and memory games too. They're also ideal as flashcards, and I often use them to introduce and practise language, particularly with smaller groups, as I don't like to use the whiteboard all the time. Using flashcards to introduce and practise language is a really successful directed teaching and learning activity. I like to vary the words for Latin numbers with Roman Numerals - it's a fantastic way of developing both language and numeracy skills in general. The flashcards/posters introduce learners to Numbers 1-20 & Roman Numerals in Latin from the very beginning of their learning, and they are able to familiarise themselves with both the ‘look’ of Latin words, and how they are represented in the written form. Additionally, they provide an opportunity to create some great cross-curricular activities with maths! I’ve used some generic images, and well as some with a classical civilisation feel, which we use to discuss both Roman and Greek civilisation. There are two backgrounds to choose from: colour or black wave. Laminate and/or print on card stock - the posters will last for years, and they're definitely easier to manipulate as flashcards.
