These French film resources are used to introduce, analyse and discuss the general topic of film and, in addition, the films on the WJEC GCE A2 syllabus. Students are introduced to general film vocabulary as well as film specific vocabulary. Detailed viewing exercises are designed to exploit the main themes in each film. In addition, the content of each film is used to practise grammatical points, translation skills and essay work adhering to the WJEC mark scheme. The resources promote whole class discussion as a result of individual research and listening and reading tasks.

This unit has been developed to raise awareness of energy wastage at home and in school.The unit is split into three sections. 1. Huddling penguins – to develop pupils’ investigative skills while learning about how animals adapt to their environment. 2. Energy from fuels – looking at different forms of renewable and non-renewable energy. Pupils carry out an investigation to find which fuel produces the most energy. 3. Conservation of energy – looking at how we waste energy in the school and at home and pupils investigate ways of conserving energy.

A unit of work focused on the research and development of small sculptures using recycled materials. The work of a variety of artists using this medium can be explored before completing the activity with powerpoints and documents supporting project work and providing step-by-step procedures for teachers and students. PLEASE NOTE: The 7 artists whose works appear in this resource have all given their permission for NGfL Cymru to use a select number of images. Any other use of these images is forbidden without consulting each artist first.
